Walking through Frankfurt in Spring
It was a warm and sunny afternoon last Wednesday when I was idling around. There was nothing but crap on tv… so I moved my ass, took my camera and went to Frankfurt with the new Tamron 17-50 f/2.8 I received earlier that day to take some photos of the skyline. I created a Frankfurt Set on Flickr where I will add new Photos from time to time. Watch as Slideshow
A trip to the zoo
I’ve been to Opel Zoo near Frankfurt with my cousine, my new DSLR and a Nikon 50mm f/1.8 this week. I don’t really like the 50mm focal lenght and it’s definitely unpractically for shooting animals, but that was the only lense I had received at that time. I picked the 12 best out of 200… the rest just looked too boring. View the Set or Slideshow.

My New Camera Gear
Now that spring has arrived in Hesse, Germany and after almost five years of photographing with cheap P&S cameras I felt like it’s time for a better camera
So I bought a Nikon D90 and will hopefully take some great shots this summer!
Except the D90, a Nikorr 50mm f/1.8 and a Tamron 17-50 f/2.8 I currently don’t have much gear. But I am planning to extend my lens park with at least a Nikon 18-200 VR to get into tele shooting and to have a useable walk-around lens and maybe a Tokina 11-16 or Nikorr 10-24 because I love wide-angle shots. A flash like the SB-600, a battery grip and a GPS unit would also be nice

I’ve been to the Zoo with my cousin and walked around a bit through Frankfurt this week so visit my Flickr Gallery for new pics and subscribe to my RSS-Feed because I’m going to post some of the better shots pretty soon
Switched my Hoster…
The downtime took much longer than I expected, but I finally quit my pseudo server because of the reachability and stability issues of the last few weeks.
I actually wanted to totally switch the hosting provider, but I choose OVH… again. In fact the 90Plan contract. It’s setup is a pain in the ass, and their manager is just crap, but as far as I can tell the performance is pretty good… at least for the price. I do now pay less than 5€/month including 600Gb of traffic and 1Gb of storage.
There will be some minor changes for registered users… the biggest one is that you can’t use the WebDAV share anymore
full details to follow…
Happy Birthday to myself
The sun just woke me up and I thought to myself…

Happy Birthday to me…
Just kidding
But today’s my Birthday. I’m gonna celebrate with some of my family today and with some friends sometime next week, coz I’ll go on a short trip this weekend.
Stay tuned & enjoy the nice weather.
